Dr. Deniz Okuyucu
Deniz Okuyucu graduated from Istanbul University Law School with a high honour degree in 2010 and spent a year at University of Vienna during her graduate studies. In 2013, she obtained her master’s degree (LL.M.) in commercial and corporate law from Queen Mary University of London. Her master’s thesis entitled “Corporate Governance, Stock Exchanges and The Role of Law; A Country Review: Turkey” was published in one of the most reputable journals in Turkey, namely Banking and Commercial Law Journal (BATIDER). Deniz also conducted a worldwide survey called the “World Universities Comparative Law Project – Legal Rating of Turkey”. Deniz has completed her PhD studies at Istanbul University on her PhD thesis entitled “Corporate Social Responsibility of Joint Stock Companies”.
Deniz has been working as a registered lawyer since 2011. Throughout her career, she has worked at leading firms based in Istanbul.. Her previous experience covers domestic and cross-border projects including M&As in particular, whereas she has a special expertise in start-up law, investment law, corporate&commercial law, contract law, transportation and insurance law. Deniz was involved in a large spectrum of M&A, restructuring, investment projects and represented various large corporates, start-ups and venture capital companies.

Nihan D. Kaliç
Nihan D. Kalic graduated from Istanbul University Law School in 2014 and started her intership in Pekin Bayar Law Firm at the same year. During her successful career she attended several certified trainings both in Turkey and abroad regarding Dispute Avoidance and Investment Protection, Capital Markets Law, Rules on Guarantee and Standby Letters (ICC), The 2002 ISDA Master Agreement (English Law), Mediation, Personal Data Protection and so on. Last year she started her Master on International Law and Compliance at Rome Business School (accredited by Universidad Internacional de Valencia).
Nihan practices law since 2015 and worked in distinguished law firms, companies. At the end of her internship at Pekin Bayar, she worked as secondment for 6 months AvivaSA and completed the compliance process on corporate governance, after turning Pekin Bayar as associate she worked with several banks and insurance companies then carried on her practice under Göktaş Attorneys at Law. In 2017 she joined Halkbank where she led the establishment and early operations of the International Law Department of the bank, effectively supervised the data protection compliance process and provided counseling on capital markets issues while working on one of the largest and most complex international cases of the bank’s history. Following Halkbank where she gained unmatched experience Nihan worked as a legal counsel Teknasyon a well known company in the tech industry and focused on some of the most relevant legal topics of the contemporary era such as Data Protection, Fintech and Start-Up Consulting.

Ayşenur Karaarslan
Ayşenur Karaarslan graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 2018 with a High Honor Degree and started her legal internship at Gökçe Attorney Partnership in the same year. In 2019, she won the third place by leading her team at the nationwide Litigation Competitions, representing the Istanbul Bar Association. In 2022, she started to cooperate with Mickaël Laurans, Head of the European Union Committee of the London Law Society, representing the Istanbul Bar Association Foreign Relations Center. Besides conducting research at the Istanbul Bar Association Foreign Relations Center, Ayşenur also continues to serve as a Member of the Executive Board of the Istanbul Bar Association Lawyer Rights Center.
Following this path of success, she has participated in certified trainings in various fields such as Commercial and Corporate Law, Competition Law and Protection of Personal Data at home and abroad, and in 2022, she completed the Careers Clinic & Law Update training within the London Law Society in the UK. Ayşenur has been working as a lawyer since 2019 and after her internship in Gökçe, her career continued at Yalçın & Toygar Law Firm, and later at her own law firm where she provided legal consultancy services to local and foreign companies. Her specialization areas are Intellectual Property law, Contracts law, Company and Commercial law, Litigation and Dispute law. Among the reputable clients she has worked with are Çelik Elektrik, one of the rising electrical contracting companies, York & Chapel, a digital strategy and brand development agency from the US, Nekton Bot, a polyethylene boat manufacturer, and industry leaders such as, Güncel Tıp, Belight Kitchen, TVS Production, Fullmak Hydraulic. Ayşenur continues to provide corporate establishment and other consultancy services in collaboration with Aztax Accountancy Ltd., a London-based financial consulting firm.
